The Zonta Club of Prince George’s County Area provides scholarship funds to the following colleges and schools annually.

 

• Prince George’s Community College (1)

• Bowie State University (2)

• University of Maryland, College Park (2)

• Jane Klausman Scholarship (1)

• Sierra Leone Scholarships (2)

 

In addition, the Zonta Club of Prince George’s County Area awards individual scholarships to freshman year college students living in the Prince George's County Area through the Zonta Club of Prince Georges County Area Foundation. Five scholarships of $1500.00 will be awarded annually to Prince George's Community College, Bowie State University, and University of Maryland annually; 1 scholarship of $500.00 annually to Jane Klausman (forwarded on through Zonta for further opportunities) and 2 scholarships to Sierra Leone Tuition

 

Eligibility for Prince George’s Community College; Bowie State University and University of Maryland

Young women accepted at an accredited college or university on a full-time basis in the fall and who are residents of Prince George’s County area and who demonstrate evidence of the following are eligible to apply.

1. Female

2. Prince George’s County, Maryland resident

3. Active commitment to community through community service

4. 3.0 or higher G.P.A

5. Freshman accepted at an accredited college or university
